Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about plans, fees, and billing.
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade anytime. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing, and downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period.
Paid plans include a 7-day trial and require a card up front — when it ends, your card is charged for the plan you selected, unless you cancel first. The Free plan has no trial and never requires a card.
Never, unless you tell us to. That is to say, all of our plans send 100% of the fees to you. The Free plan has no monthly cost to you and instead charges a small 3.5% + 50¢ platform fee per transaction to your customers, so they pay for Picnic Pie and you still get 100% of what you are charging them.
On the Free plan, the 3.5% + 50¢ platform fee is charged to your customers automatically at checkout. You receive 100% of the amount you set for your products, and your customers pay the platform fee on top of that. The only hard requirement is that you have to use Stripe to accept payments, since we use Stripe to collect the platform fee. When the transactions run the fees will be automatically sent to us and your money will automatically flow to you.
Yes, on the Professional plan. You can connect a custom domain (like orders.mybakery.com) to your Picnic Pie storefront.
